The electrical or silicon Grain Oriented steel- GO can be Conventional or HIB (high permeability) and are used in transformers and in some cases special generators. They have a special microstructure designed in a complex production process. They have much lower magnetic losses and much higher magnetic permeability. The thickness varies from 0.23 to 0.35 mm.
Non Grain Oriented Electrical Steel
The electrical or silicon Non Grain Oriented steel- NGO can be supplied processed or semi-processed with or without insulation. They have good magnetic properties and can be used in: generator and electrical motor cores, reactors, lighting systems, compressor motors, power meters, and other electrical appliances. The thickness varies from 0.35 to 1.0 mm.
